It joins faculty and community members from across the institution and the nation in the collaborative pursuit of research to expand the knowledge of online learning andimplications to higher education in online learning. This research is improving the quality of education online. In addition, COLRS Research Center identifies and joins educational, institutional, andcorporate partners in the support of best practices, emerging technologies, and the effective design of institutional and individual learning.staff is one of the industry leaders who are respected for opinions, ideas, and research that has been done in the field of online learning. Dr. Bill Bloemer and Dr. Karen Swan lead the national efforts in research of Predictive Analytics.Part of the sustainability of research in the area of a growing and changing field such as online learning is to provide support and recognition of those who continue to work in this field of educational research and practice. In 2010, Faculty Fellows were chosen to participate in the research of online teaching and learning under the auspices of the center. In 2014, four faculty members were chosen from a completive process to join the ranks of the Center for Online Learning Research and Service Faculty Fellows program.
