Learning at Home during School Closures for P6

Week beginning: 25.01.2021

Hello Primary 6 from Miss Griffiths, Ms Dobie and Mrs. Foley!

This is now your third overview of suggested activities for you to work on, so hopefully you know how everything works: one assignment each day Monday to Thursday together with other work that you file in your named folder. Friday is

your chance to get things finished for the week and all assignments submitted. The deadline for all submissions is still 12 o’clock on Friday, as this is when your normal school working week would finish. If you are unable to submit

before this – put it in your named folder instead.

This week we are continuing with the novel study The Green Book, more shape work in Maths and Old Edinburgh, AND of course, with Monday being the 25th January – Robert Burns’ birthday – we will be continuing with our Scottish themes.

This is the week that you will be presenting you poem. Normally we would do this in school, in front of your own class. Obviously, we can’t do that – so you will be doing it on your Class Team. Classes will be split into 3 or 4 groups

and you will be given a meeting time by your teacher. This will be either on Thursday or Friday morning. We are really looking forward to hearing your recitals and the positive feed-back from your group. It should be fun.

When you are accessing your resources for the day, do remember to download them on to your own device, before working from them. Please do not work on them directly from the folder.

REFLECTING ON YOUR LEARNING

As always do what you can and try to stay on target with the weekly overview. It may help if you prioritise your assignment each day, then work around that. Remember to be kind to yourself and everyone around you.

LIVE CHAT WITH YOUR TEACHERS –It was lovely to see so many of you this week and we thank you for your patience and understanding when technology wasn’t being very helpful. This will be the routine each week now – 4 chats – 1 as a stage,

and 3 with your class. Times and links will be posted in your class Team.
