2.1 The Tangent Ratio

The study of trigonometry dates back to at least 1600 B.C. Since early times, astronomers, engineers and navigators have used the angles and sides of triangles to solve problems. In this unit, we will apply the basic concepts and skills of trigonometry to solve problems involving right triangles.
