Who are the true followers of Jesus (peace be upon him)?

Introduction

God the Creator has sent to mankind prophets and messengers to guide mankind into fulfilling their purpose in life. God has revealed a comprehensive system of Divine laws, which contain the solutions to and preventions from problems. Many books were revealed: The Torah, The Gospel (known as the New Testament), and the last book was the Qur'an. All of these books contained guidance, but the Qur'an contains guidance for mankind. However, the Torah was tampered by corrupt people who deviated from the righteous path. The Christians abolished its laws and commandments, claiming that it is enough to believe and live by grace in order to attain salvation. Only practicing Muslims can claim that they have the final guidance in the Qur'an, which is protected from manipulation because it is the last revelation until the last day. We need to find out the true guidance of Islam for all mankind, stressing on the importance of abiding by Divine laws, in order to achieve social stability and happiness in this life and in the life to come. Islam also includes a creedal reformation to the messages, which preceded it. In the following pages, we shall examine texts from the Old and the New Testaments, supporting the reformation introduced by Islam.

Jesus (peace be upon him) never claimed to be God; on the contrary, the scriptures confirm his refutation of any divine attributes in reference to himself:

انا لا اقدر ان افعل من نفسي شيئا . كما اسمع ادين (في ترجمة: أَحْكُمُ) ودينونتي عادلة لاني لا اطلب مشيئتي بل مشيئة الآب الذي ارسلني (يوحنا 30:5)

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. [John 5:30]

ولكنكم الآن تطلبون ان تقتلوني وانا انسان قد كلمكم بالحق الذي سمعه من الله (يوحنا 40:8)

But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God. [John 8:40]

واما ذلك اليوم وتلك الساعة فلا يعلم بهما احد ولا ملائكة السموات الا ابي وحده (متى 36:24)

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. [Matthew 24:36]

ولكن اذهبي الى اخوتي وقولي لهم اني اصعد الى ابي وابيكم والهي والهكم) يوحنا 17:20 (

… but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. [John 20:17]

Son of God?

As for the claim that Jesus (pbuh) was literally the son of God, know that according to the Bible, God has tons of sons, and that is meant in a metaphoric way. If some stranger on the street called you “my son”, does that mean that he is you legitimate father? If it is so, you have then more than a dozen of fathers! Let us read the proof:

"...Adam, which was the son of God."(Luke 3:38 )

"That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair... And when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them..." (Genesis 6: 2,4)

"...Israel is My son, even My firstborn:" (Exodus 4:22)

"...for I (God) am a Father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn." (Jeremiah 31:9)

"...the Lord hath said unto me (David): 'Thou art My son: this day have I begotten thee." (Psalms 2:7)

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." (Romans 18:14)

Can't you see that in the language of the Jew? Every righteous person, anyone who followed the Will and Plan of God, was a "Son of God". It was a METAPHORICAL descriptive term commonly used among the Jews.

Jesus (pbuh) emphasized Tawheed (monotheism) and never mentioned trinity:

Mark 12:28 “And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. 32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he.”

(Bible text is taken from the King James Version -KJV-)

The importance of commandments (Divine law) in the life of a believer

Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. 19 Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.(Bible text is taken from the Revised Standard Version -RSV-)

Another proof for the importance of the commandments

Matthew 19:16 “And behold, one came up to him, saying, "Teacher, what good deed must I do, to have eternal life?" 17 And he said to him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments." (Bible text is taken from the Revised Standard Version -RSV-)

Notice the tampering through translations (underlined)

Matthew 19:16 “And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.”

Paul is the hero of what we know now as Christianity; He never met Jesus (pbuh), yet he claimed that he saw him in a vision and that he is receiving revelation through him! He nullified the commandments and taught people so, and he seems to be the founder of the atonement creed (i.e. salvation through the death of Christ).

Paul said that the law (torah) is cursed!

Galatians 3:13 “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse* for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree”

* (Did you notice what Paul said about Jesus? He said: "a curse"! No comment…)

Paul's claims are nothing but falsehood for the following reasons:

1-The Curse upon those who forsake the law!

Deuteronomy 27:26 “Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them.”

2- Jesus (pbuh): "I don't want to die"

Matthew 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup (of death) pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

3- Jesus (pbuh): only sent to the Israelites (while Paul went to the gentiles)

Matthew 10:5-6: “These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them saying, Go ye not into the way of the Gentiles, (non-Jews) 1 and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go ye rather unto The Lost Sheep Of The House Of Israel.”

Matthew 15:24: “But he answered and said, I am Not Sent But Unto the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel.”

4- No one dies for others' sins!

2 Chronicles 25:4 “The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.”

5- Jesus (pbuh) knew what will happen after his departure (i.e. the distortion of his teachings):

Matthew 15:8-9 “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

6- The man who was crucified said on the cross:

Matthew 27: 46 "My Lord my Lord why did you forsake me?"

This frustration indicates that the crucified can not be Jesus, in other words can not be someone who is willingly scarifying himself for the expiation of human sins.

7- Logically speaking; if we say that God sacrificed himself on the cross, and then He brought himself back to life, then the sacrifice is not a sacrifice! (It is like putting a coin in the charity box then withdrawing it)

The Law that a believer should follow includes:

Wudu`: Ablution

"And he set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, to wash withal. And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet thereat: When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as the LORD commanded Moses." [Exodus 40:30-32]

Prayer: kneeling and prostration

“…he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed...” [Matthew 26:39].

“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” [Mark 1:35] See also Joshua 5:15, 1 Kings 18:42, Numbers 20:6, Genesis 17:3.

Fasting

Daniel 9:3 “And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes”

Joel 2:12 “Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.”

Lower your gaze!

Matthew 5:27 “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.”

Idolatry = Haram

Exodus 20:4-5 “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them...”

Wine and intoxicants = Haram!

Leviticus 10:8-9

|And the LORD spoke to Aaron, saying, "Drink no wine nor strong drink, you nor your sons with you, when you go into the tent of meeting, |

|lest you die; it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations." |

Luke 1:15 "for he (John the Baptist) will be great before the Lord, and he shall drink no wine nor strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb."

Pork = Haram!

Leviticus 11:7-8 " And the swine, because it parts the hoof and is cloven-footed but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. Of their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch; they are unclean to you."

Usury (Riba) = Haram!

Leviticus 25:36-37 “Take thou no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee. Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase.”

Psalms 15:5 “He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.”

Hijab

How was Mariam the mother of Jesus (pbuh) dressed? Besides, even Paul in his letter to Corinthians chapter 11 said:

5 but any woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled dishonors her head--it is the same as if her head were shaven. 6 For if a woman will not veil herself, then she should cut off her hair; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her wear a veil.

Assalamu Alaykom

Luke 24:36, John 20:26 “And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.”

Miracles are not enough as evidence for authenticity of one's faith:

21 "Not every one who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' 23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers.' [Matthew 7]

Conclusion
