For all returning members, I hope this is your best year yet! We have an exciting year planned for you all and hopefully some big changes as well!I hope that your time here fills you with knowledge, wisdom, experience and above all, memories. My advice to you would be to grab each opportunity and take all that it has to offer you. Always stay humble and remember that you are lucky to attend such an amazing university and have endless opportunities at your fingertips. Push yourself further than your comfort zones and watch yourself grow as a person and scholar. Lastly, make time for friends and fun because that is what will get you through the late nights and stressful weeks. This organization has served as my home away from home and a secondary family. I have made friends, mentors, and family through Ag Ed and there are many more to come. I can only hope that each of you have the same experience. The family atmosphere associated with Agricultural Education and IAAE-Purdue makes college seem less daunting and difficult. If you ever find yourself struggling please reach out to any member, advisor, or YDAE staff member. Returning members, I hope that you are willing to share your knowledge with our new members and serve as mentors and friends. Throughout my years as a member, I have discovered that I have never regretted going to an IAAE-Purdue event. These events have helped me make friends, network, and build relationships with peers and future colleagues. Plus there is always free food! Members, I hope that you come to all IAAE-Purdue events and participate to the best of your ability. You may pay dues, but I promise that the memories and relationships formed will be priceless. Encourage each other to be involved in this organization and others across campus. Make as many connections as you possibly can because you can never have too many friends or too big of a network. Lastly, make your presence known in this organization. IAAE-Purdue is student led and our officer team would love to hear your suggestions, ideas, and feedback. We should always be changing and evolving to offer our members the best experiences and the most fun!Best Wishes, Bailey Crowder2018 IAAE-Purdue PresidentAdvisor’s ChallengeThank you for choosing Agricultural Education as a profession!
