Natalie C. Trump, BSNatalie Trump serves as a Senior Training and Consultation Specialist for the Community Living Education Project (CLEP). She provides information, education and support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families about the possibilities of community living. In addition, Natalie provides community outreach and education to families transitioning from their educational entitlement to adult Services with the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), to universities, community colleges, local disability-focused organizations, and the general public, highlighting that people with I/DD live throughout the state, participating in a rich, community life. Natalie began in Supports Coordination in 2003 advocating for budgets for people with I/DD, working side-by-side with the DDD to build self-direction for people with I/DD in NJ. Natalie shares her daughter’s personal story to help others learn to build effective, person-centered, individualized service plans, and understand how to collaborate with teams to help individuals with I/DD live a fulfilling community life. Natalie is the parent of three adult children. Her daughter, Marie, has a Supports Program budget from the DDD and is in her 15th year of self-directing her supports and services. Natalie has held the positions of Family Consultant and Support Coordinator with the former University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey; Support Coordinator Specialist and part of the leadership team for Neighbours, Inc.; and a Senior Resource Coordinator for the Family Support Center of New Jersey. Natalie became a Certified Person-Centered Thinking and Essential Lifestyle Planning Trainer in August 2005 through The Elizabeth M. Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities. In 1977, Natalie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from St. Peter’s University, formerly known as Saint Peter’s College, and in July 2009, she graduated from the National Leadership Consortium on Developmental Disabilities at the University of Delaware. Natalie received The New Jersey Association of Community Providers 2014 Outstanding Leadership Award in recognition of her accomplishments and service in support of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Natalie is an active member with the Regional Family Support Planning Council # 6 for Monmouth and Ocean Counties as well as being an active member at the NJ Family Support Planning Council Statewide meetings.
