Christmas tree Poems

Think about ways -- big and small -- in which you can spread joy or help someone during the holiday season. Create a poem in the shape of a Christmas tree.

1. Input your poem in Microsoft Word. Set up the poems so that the first line is the shortest one, the top of the Christmas tree. Then each line of the poem grows successively longer, forming the body of the tree, until the last three lines, which are short. See the sample below.

2. Center the poem’s text on the page horizontally and vertically.

Horizontal:

• highlight the text to be centered

• click the centering button

Vertical:

• Go to the File Menu - Page Set Up - Lay Out – Page - Vertical Alignment – Center

3. Type your name in a FOOTER

• Go to the View Menu – Header and Footer

4. Spell check, proofread, PRINT IT!!
