General Qualifications of the Company

Since our inception in 1984, Turner Engineering has provided quality Civil Engineering Services throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky and has remained an innovator in the areas of Civil Engineering, Development, Planning, and Surveying. We have over 40 years of combined experience in a wide variety of engineering applications. Highway & Road Design, Site Design, Hydrology/hydraulic Analysis, Utility Design and Planning, Pump Station, Sanitary Sewer, and Floodplain Analysis are well within the talents, skills, and knowledge of our capable personnel.

Turner Engineering staff includes a Licensed Professional Engineer, a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor, a Land Surveyor in Training, an Engineering Designer, a Land Planner, CAD/Drafting Technicians, multiple survey crews and an experienced administrative staff. The wealth of experience available from our staff enables us to provide you with the highest quality of service, while meeting your deadlines. Our professionals are continuously training so we can provide the most accurate, effective and timely services possible. The technology utilized by our company includes the latest from Autodesk, in addition to a variety of specialty applications from Haestad Methods, and GPS survey equipment.

Having worked as a consultant to both private and government clients, Turner Engineering has the resources and experience to carry a project through from inception to final construction. Our firm has developed professional relationships with state and local regulatory agencies as well as a reputation of excellence – in both the quality of technical services provided and responsiveness to the needs of our clients. Our expertise and attention to detail assure any project of a successful, economical, and timely completion.

Qualifications of our Personnel

The key personnel assigned to the design and management of our projects are Glenn Turner - Civil Engineer, Jeremy Lynch - Project Coordinator, Hickory Adams - Senior Civil Designer, and Judy Needham - Land Planner.

Glenn Turner, the President of the company, has over 30 years experience as a Civil Engineer, nine of which were spent working for the Army Corps of Engineers. He was the Project Engineer during the renovation and addition at the Ireland Army Hospital. He has experience working with local as well as federal regulations, and has designed projects in his own subdivisions as well as for a variety of clients. Several notable projects include the Wal-Mart Super Center in Radcliff, KY; Andover and Oxmoor Village Subdivisions in Glendale, KY; and Wexford Place in Elizabethtown, KY.

Jeremy Lynch has been with this firm for almost 3 years as our Project Coordinator. He has managed projects with local developers, land owners and contractors on numerous subdivisions from the initial land survey, to the installation of roads and utilities, to the final placement of homes in the subdivision. He is experienced in developing Plats to local standards. He has been involved with the design of new subdivisions throughout Hardin County, and has a good working relationship with City and County officials.

Hickory Adams, our Senior Civil Designer, recently began working for our company after 13 years at Presnell, a civil engineering firm in Louisville. There, he was responsible for designing roads and highways for projects across the country. He was involved with the design of sewage and drainage layouts, pump stations, and subdivision layouts. He is also experienced in surface modeling. In this job, he worked extensively with various regional offices of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and with the Navaho Housing Authority for both design and management of projects.

Judy Needham has a background in both development design and regional planning. As a Land Planner for our firm, she has been involved with the initial design of a variety of types and sizes of commercial and residential projects. She has expertise in creating exhibits for marketing brochures and posters. Her past experiences in regional planning, notably the Lincoln Trail Area Development District, give her a well rounded knowledge of the necessary tools for designing projects to best suit the future needs of this area.

Specific Qualifications

As a firm, we have design experience for both residential and commercial projects. Some of our most recent projects include Arlington Woods Subdivision in Radcliff, Prairie View Estates in Vine Grove, and Ambrook Estates in Stephensburg. We have experience in surveying, site design, preliminary and record plat development, rezoning, and marketing drawings. Our engineering capabilities include, water and storm water design, grading and drainage, sewer design, pump/lift stations, utilities, and roads. We have worked with several local cities on municipal engineering projects, including improvements in Radcliff, Irvington, and others.

Since many of our projects are done for properties that are owned in part by our own company, we have a big stake in most of our cost estimates. We have a firm hold on not only the costs to design and engineer a project, but also the costs involved with building the project out to completion.

In closing, our firm has a variety of experiences with civil design. We have a good working relationship with the surrounding cities and local planning agencies. Our employees have a variety of experiences with surveying, civil design, planning, and project management. And, we have a desire to provide you with good planning, design, and construction management practices.
