Rameck’s Internal ConflictAs an elementary student in the novel We Beat the Street, Rameck faces the internal conflict of constantly being the “troublemaker.” He doesn’t understand why he’s always getting in trouble and he never tries to cause problems, but he always finds himself in the Principal’s Office. Rameck knows that he is smart, but because he’s always causing mischief, the principal at his Catholic school wants to place him in Special Education. Over the course of the next few years, Rameck struggles with this problem, while he attempts to learn self-control.19729455601970If I were in Rameck’s position, I would talk about my problem with peers or adults. When I have an issue in my life, it helps to discuss it with others. Although it is hard to talk about my internal conflicts at first, I always feel better in the end.
