• Write an informational report on the tribe that you have researched including all areas of the checklist. You may write or type your report.

• Show where the tribe lived on a map of the North American continent.

• Make a museum artifact of your tribe. For example, you could build a model of their home, or make a sample of a tool or instrument they used in the past. You could role play, make doll clothes, weapons, ceremonial utensils, or a diorama. You could also design a book, booklet, poster, or PowerPoint that includes all of the required information. Please make sure graphics are of appropriate size for viewing. (Remember we need to be able to see pictures, drawings, and text from at least 6 feet away!)

• Use books, magazines, and the website to help you find out all you can about the tribe you have chosen. Mrs. Ferguson’s class website has helpful websites to help in your research under the Helpful Social Studies tab. You may find additional websites on your own.

• You will give a brief oral presentation to share some of the information you learn. Do not read your report to the class. Just tell us about some of the interesting things you learned.

Yes, families are encouraged to help. Working together can be fun, however, please do not take over the project or report! (
