PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to provide member benefits regarding availability of Human Resource job opportunities in the local area. This policy sets forth guidelines, timeframes and fees for the posting of Human Resource related job opportunities on the chapter website.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Northwest Indiana SHRM Chapter maintains a website and has the ability to post job openings that might be of interest to our members. The types of positions posted will be limited to positions that include responsibilities related to Human Resources.

PROCEDURE

Any organization that would like to post a job opening on the NWISHRM website should submit a request to the Chapter Manager.

The Chapter Manager will review the position to determine if it encompasses responsibilities related to Human Resources.

If the position meets the criteria, the Chapter Manager will obtain all the pertinent information including job title, summary of responsibilities, application procedure, etc. and post on the website once any applicable fees have been received.

If the position does not meet the criteria, the Chapter Manager will communicate to the requesting organization that the job opening does not meet our criteria and we will be unable to post the position.

The Chapter Manager will collect the appropriate fees if applicable.

Members are allowed to post job openings at no charge.

Non-members are allowed to post job openings for a fee of $50 per posting.

All job postings will be visible to members and to non-members on the website. All job postings will be active for 30-60 days, depending on the organization’s preference. NWISHRM will request that the organization notify us if the position is no longer available prior to the expiration of the posting period.

The Chapter Manager will send an email blast to all members and non-members informing them of the new job posting.

All organizations which post must comply with all applicable local, state, and employment laws, including EEO provisions. Organizations agree to indemnify and hold the chapter and its officers, directors, and members harmless from all claims, actions, suits, and expenses relating to, or arising from, the posting.
