Administrative Items To update or make changes to your campus supplied computing account, visit Information and Education Technology.The [unit name] maintains a local computing account which gives you access to your workstation, email, work files, VPN, and terminal services. Wages and Hours Your position is [enter Exempt of Non‐Exempt] according to the Fair Labor Standards Act. MONTHLY EMPLOYEES (EXEMPT STAFF) ‐ Pay period begins on the first of the month and ends on the last day of the month. Pay dates are the first of every month for work conducted the previous month. For example, work for the period January 1 – January 31 is paid on February 1. If the first of the month occurs on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, the pay date will be on the day before the weekend or holiday with the exception of January 1. BI‐WEEKLY EMPLOYEES (NON EXEMPT STAFF) – Please review the Biweekly Payroll Calendar for information on pay dates and reporting periods. The [unit name] uses an online Time Reporting System to track hours and leave time. For non‐exempt employees, the system is used to record hours worked, sick leave, vacation, extra hours worked, and compensatory time. For exempt employees, the system is used to track sick leave and vacation hours. You will receive a separate email explaining this system once you have been activated in the system.Work with your supervisor to learn how to request vacation and sick leave. Sign up to receive Emergency Services notification via the WarnMe system. They system provides timely information and instructions during emergencies or other urgent situations via e‐mail, telephone, cell phone and text messaging. For non‐emergency work‐related injuries, you will be directed to visit Occupational Health Services unless you have completed the Designation of Physician form requesting to be seen by your primary care physician. In case of an emergency, you will be transported to Sutter Davis Hospital. Discuss with your supervisor the location and use of fire extinguishers, fire‐alarm box, and the location of two means of emergency exit from your work site. Review the policy for Reporting a Work‐Incurred Injury or Illness, Occupational and Preventative Medicine, and Protective Clothing and Equipment.
