QUICK NOTES...

? Saturday's game will mark the first meeting between the Huskies and the Commodores on the football field since the Huskies narrowly lost in Nashville, 24-21, back in 2011. UConn is 1-2 all-time against Vanderbilt with the one win coming in 2010. This is the first time the Huskies square off with an SEC opponent since playing Missouri in 2015. UConn was suppose to play at Ole Miss in 2020 before the season was canceled.

The University of Connecticut and CBS Sports announced a multi-year television partnership for UConn's home football games. CBS Sports Network will televise all home games through the 2023 season.

"I am excited that we have been able to finalize this multi-year partnership with CBS Sports," director of athletics David Benedict said. "CBS Sports is a tremendous brand for our football program to be associated with and I know UConn Nation will be pleased that it will be able to watch the Huskies compete against a compelling group of opponents on a nationally-distributed network."

"Adding UConn football to our already robust lineup of partners provides more high-quality football content for CBS Sports Network," said Dan Weinberg, EVP, Programming, CBS Sports. "We look forward to a long and successful relationship with UConn in the years ahead."

The agreement between CBS Sports and UConn Athletics was facilitated by Learfield IMG College, the university's athletics multimedia rights holder. UConn Sports Properties is the Learfield IMG College Hartford-based team that exclusively represents the Huskies and works alongside Benedict on all aspects of the rights relationship.

CBS Sports Network, the 24-hour home of CBS Sports, is available through all major cable, satellite and telco distributors as well as via OTT streaming service providers YouTube TV, fuboTV, DirecTV and Hulu. Additionally, a live CBS Sports Network stream is available through and the CBS Sports App with select providers.

? Sophomore linebacker Jackson Mitchell is 7th in the country with 54 total tackles and 10.8 tackles per game. Mitchell has posted 51 tackles over the last four games (12.8 tpg.), after registering three in the season-opener against Fresno State.

? The Huskies have been a discipline team in terms of penalties this season ranking 12th nationally with just 34.40 penalty yards per game.

? The Huskies recorded a pair of interceptions against Wyoming (Lucien, Bell). It was the first time since the ECU game in 2019 that the Huskies registered multiple interceptions in a game.

? The Huskies held a 13-10 lead entering the fourth quarter against the Cowboys. It was the first time that UConn held a lead entering the fourth quarter since the UMass game back in 2019.

? Brian Brewton recorded a 96-yard kickoff return touchdown in the third quarter against Army. It was the Huskies first kickoff return for a touchdown since Robbie Frey had a 95-yard touchdown return against Oklahoma in the 2011 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. It was the first UConn specials team's touchdown since Deshonn Foxx had a 72-yard punt return touchdown against Stony Brook in 2014.

? During the 2019 season, senior running back Kevin Mensah joined Jordan Todman as only the second UConn running back in program history to rush for at least 1,000-yards in back-to-back seasons. Mensah enters today's game 1,050 rushing yards shy of tying Donald Brown's program record.
