How to Register for the Exam: (Walk in registrations are not permitted) 1. The Institutes registration booklet can be downloaded at: Call The Institutes Student Customer Services at 1-800-644-2101 and request an appointment at site WTX05. Be sure to advise that you are a UH-Downtown student and ask about the 50% student discount, if you qualify. To receive the discount, you will need to provide a copy of your current UHD transcript, which must be emailed directly from the UHD website to The Institutes. Copies sent to another email and forwarded are not acceptable. 2. Pay the test fee by charging to your VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. You will receive an email registration confirmation one day after the

registration is processed. If you do not receive the email confirmation within 72 hours, call Student Customer Service to request the confirmation. 3. Choose a test date. The Institutes has four test windows per year: Jan 15 - Apr. 15; Apr. 15 - July 15; July 15 ? Oct. 15; and Oct. 15 ? Jan 15. The UHD Office of Testing Services will select a few days during each of these windows to administer the tests, which are scheduled at either 9am or 3pm. Seating is limited, and provided on a first come, first served basis. Contact the UHD Office of Testing Services at 713-221-8027 to determine the test days for each testing window. 4. Contact Dr. Shakila Farmer via email at farmers@uhd.edu and type "CPCU examination request" in the subject line to schedule a test appointment.

On the scheduled test date, plan to arrive at the UHD Test Center, located at One Main Street, Houston, Texas, Room 280 South at least 15 minutes before the test. Parking is limited, so plan adequate time to park and walk to the Center.

Candidates must bring the following on test day: 1. A valid, unexpired ID that contains a photo and signature. Your identification must

match your name exactly as it appears on your confirmation email. If there is a discrepancy between your name of your confirmation email and your name on your ID, call The Institutes at 800-644-2101. No ID, no entrance to examination! 2. A copy of the email confirmation from UHD testing center 3. A copy of the email confirmation from The Institutes 4. A basic four-function calculator without the ability to type any letters or words

Candidates must NOT bring the following on test day: Wireless communication devices, copying devices or listening devices, digital

watches, alarm watches or wristwatch cameras. Hats Notes (scratch paper will be provided), dictionaries, books or any other unauthorized

testing aids, mechanical pencils, pens, highlighters or rulers. Food, beverages, or tobacco products.

Score Report An unofficial grade for all objective exams will be available immediately after the exam. The Institutes will validate all results before an official grade report is available on The Institutes' website. Grades will be e-mailed to the examinee as soon as the results are available.
