WTS-Wisconsin Undergraduate Scholarship 2020-2021
Women Transportation Seminar (WTS) – Wisconsin Chapter fosters the development of women in the transportation field by encouraging bright new professionals to undertake careers in the area of transportation. One way WTS-Wisconsin does this is by awarding the WTS-Wisconsin Undergraduate Scholarship to women pursuing undergraduate studies in transportation or a related field.
The WTS-Wisconsin Chapter Undergraduate Scholarship is in the amount of $2,500. The winner will also receive a one-year WTS International Student Membership and become eligible to apply for one of two undergraduate scholarships available through the WTS International, which is in the amount of an additional $5,000. The minimum criteria for selection are:
a. GPA of 3.0 or higher.
b. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a transportation-related field, such as transportation engineering, planning, finance, or logistics.
c. Applicants must showcase strong leadership skills and experience.
d. Plans to pursue a career in a transportation-related field.
Applications must be submitted through local WTS chapters as typed Word documents. Scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific transportation goals, academic record, and transportation-related activities or job skills. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. WTS-Wisconsin award winners will be announced early December 2020, and will be presented at the WTS-Wisconsin award event in Spring 2021.
Please send your questions and final submissions to wts.wisconsin@.
Submissions will be accepted until 11:59 P.M. on Friday, November 20, 2020.
