Working with academics, NGOs, governments and peers you will lead International stakeholder engagement for water and food security research and capacity development within the project. Key accountabilities/primary responsibilities% TimeTo be responsible for the provision of specialist/professional advice to develop and lead the international stakeholder engagement framework within BRECcIA and provide support services within specific parameters/professional guidelines to both internal and external partners, including BRECcIA national stakeholder coordinators situated in Ghana, Kenya and Malawi ensuring stakeholder engagement activities are coordinated at the regional and international level . You will identify needs, and facilitate networking and interactions between research institutions (universities) and these stakeholders.30 %Provide advice to stakeholders (governments, NGOs, peers, management and colleagues) on a variety of subject specific items, such as tools, resources and policies. Remain aware of developments and advancements in area(s) of responsibility in order to advise governments, ministries and colleagues on policy formulation, project development, resources and best practices10 %To develop regional and international stakeholder workshops (in liaison with national stakeholder coordinators) with attendance from national, regional and international groups. Ensure support to these events and external conferences either hosted by BRECcIA or requiring BRECcIA presence.20 %To document and disseminate user needs and feedback to the research institutions and to facilitate transfer of developed methods, data products and knowledge to the regional stakeholders (e.g. new monitoring systems, higher resolution data products, etc) to ensure impact of the research. Provide assistance for the overall implementation of activities, including organization, monitoring, evaluation, and preparation of recommendations and reports, in the required fields. 15 %To draft reports and deliver briefings and presentations, as required.
