Explain the problem with the World Heritage Site at Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, which is on the World Heritage in Danger list.

Briefly describe the history of the UNESCO World Heritage convention and how it came about.

Information on Criteria can be found when you click on the site from the list and a link titled ‘Criteria’ (beside the picture) outlines the various features that allowed this site to be designated a World heritage Site. The example below shows that this site met Criteria 7, 8, 9 and 10. Click on the link to find what those criteria are.
