Scripture: Psalm 85: 6-7 (NRSV)

“Will you not revive us again, so that your people may rejoice in you?

Show us your steadfast love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation.”

Our mission as United Methodist Christians is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. This means that we are called to bring about change in the world and to do so in connection with other Christians.

Please prepare a five-minute presentation illustrating:

• How your church is connecting with others to make disciples and transform the world

• How your church has connected with different generations of people

• What kind of revival does the Church and world need today

Please provide examples of your congregation’s connection and revival ministry.

Consider this scripture. Reflect on its real meaning in the day of King David and what it might mean to us today.

What might “connecting” mean for your congregation today? How could or does your connecting lead to “revival” in the Church and its mission in the world at a time like this?

What adjustments are you making to connect with new people in your community? What are the challenges and opportunities you face as you connect with new people? Share highlights and examples of your ministry.
