Launched in December 2017, the Global Migration Data Portal is designed to help policy makers, national statistics officers, journalists and the general public to navigate the increasingly complex landscape of international migration data. By making the evidence about migration issues accessible and easy to understand, the Portal aims to contribute to a more informed public debate. The Portal's interactive world map features more than 75 indicators from 20 data providers, 32 thematic pages, an SDG section on targets and indicators relevant to migration, country snapshots based on the Migration Governance Indicators, 25 blogs and 23 expert interviews. In 2019, the Portal will be scaled up to include new data and content with a regional focus as well as be launched in French, German and Spanish.
