2012 Conference Theme -- "Still Making History"

The N.C. Indian Unity Conference provides a forum to address health, education, social, cultural, political, spiritual, and economic issues affecting the American Indian population of North Carolina. The conference brings together national, state, local and tribal leaders to discuss concerns, identify resources, and develop strategic solutions to advocate for and improve the well-being of North Carolina's first citizens. The 2012 conference theme, "Still Making History," represents the contributions American Indians have made and continue to make to their tribal communities, the State of North Carolina, and national American Indian affairs. Four concurrent workshop sessions will be held at the conference:

Thursday, March 8 Workshop Session I: 3:45 pm ? 4:45 pm Friday, March 9 Workshop Session II: 10:15 am ? 11:15 am Workshop Session III: 11:30 am ? 12:30 pm Workshop Session IV: 3:30 pm ? 4:30 pm

and clear plan for how time/space will be used. 4. Addresses an emerging Issue of Likely Interest to American Indian communities.
