One of the most prolific scorers in Division’s history, Goldberg was a high school All-County selection. Goldberg went on to play Division I lacrosse at North Carolina State University, under a full scholarship, where he was recognized as an All-American. After college, Goldberg went on to play international lacrosse in Australia. Upon returning to the States, Goldberg was immediately recruited for the USA world team and represented the United States in the North American World Cup Games where he was named “Unsung Hero” and “MVP” of the series. He went on to play professional lacrosse in the Major Indoor Lacrosse League for the New York Saints and Detroit Turbos. In 1988 he was MVP of the world championship game and a two-time world champion. Goldberg has been coaching now for 23 years and has worked with programs like Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy, where he was head college coach, and Manhassett High School, one of the most reputable programs in the country. In 1999, Goldberg was chosen as an evaluator for the USA under-19 world team.
