The following list of resources has been generated by the U-M Office of Technology Transfer team to support startups and U-M alumni working in startups and small businesses. Michigan: Business, Loan and Financial Programs:

NEW - Tech Startup Stabilization - Invest Detroit Ventures, with lead support from the MEDC, has launched a fund to help stabilize Michigan startups impacted by the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, extend their runway, and put them on a path to scale when the downturn subsides. The fund will provide loans and investments typically ranging from $20,000 - $100,000 based on the startup's sector, stage, estimated runway, and demonstration of need. It is expected that the average award will be $50,000. Initial form can be filled out at this link Tech Startup Initial Application Form

TechTown Stabilization Fund - To mitigate barriers for Detroit's most vulnerable businesses and entrepreneurs, TechTown Detroit will administer an emergency fund that provides working capital grants in amounts up to $5,000 to qualifying applicants. Applications are closed for now.

NEW - MSF Awardee Relief Initiative The MSF Awardee Relief Initiative program authorizes emergency relief to businesses and community projects that have previously received grants, loans, or other forms of economic assistance from the Michigan Strategic Fund.

NEW COVID-19 Mobility Solutions Grant - PlanetM has transitioned the PlanetM Pilot Grant funds to the COVID-19 Mobility Solutions Grant, which will provide funding to mobility solutions that address the crucial challenges presented by the spread of COVID-19 within the state of Michigan.
