Current Projects and Assignments:

I am the Program Manager for a recently developed Certificate Program in Emergency Management and Preparedness at The University of Texas at Dallas. The target audience is private sector professionals and health care industry professionals.

We also offer a municipality program that can be customized to a city’s specific needs and can be taught at their facility to receive the certificate. I have worked for The University of Texas at Dallas for five years. I attended Washington State University and I am currently pursuing an emergency management degree.

UTD Emergency Readiness Conference and Exhibition CEO and Medical Track Coordinator. The conference is planned for Aug 9-12th on campus and will include a three track focus; Aviation, Disaster Medical Mgmt & Hazmat/WMD. We have invited James Lee Witt to be the keynote speaker.

Curriculum Advisory Board and core curriculum developer for Texas C.A.R.E.S. (Curriculum for Allied Health Response to Emergencies). This HERSA grant project is linked with six other educational entities to prepare allied health students to respond and recover from a bioterrorism attack and public health emergencies.

Developing the curriculum for a Master of Science in Disaster Management with a health care focus.

DFW Homeland Security Alliance member

Member of the Citizen Corps Council/CERT working group with North Texas Council of Governments.
