? Tough Defense: LSU's scoring defense finished the 2018-19 season ranked 16th in the nation and is tops in the SEC at 56.2 points per game. The Lady Tigers held opponents under 50 points in a game seven times this season and under 60 20 times. LSU's 3-point field goal shooting defense finished 18th in the country and also ranked 1st in the SEC at 27.5 percent. The team also ranked 3rd in the SEC in steals with 9.1 swipes per game.
? Battle of the Boards: The Lady TIgers won or tied the battle of the boards in 21 of 29 games last season. LSU ranked 2nd in the league in rebounding defense at 31.3 per game and is 5th in rebounding margin at +5.3.
? Mitchell's Marks: Ayana Mitchell ended her junior season ranked is 24th in the nation and second in the SEC in field goal percentage, shooting 56.3 percent to lead LSU. Mitchell was 30th in the nation and 3rd in the SEC in rebounds per game at 10.5. She finished the season averaging a doubledouble with 13.5 points per game and was 20th in the nation and 2nd in the league with 16 double-doubles on the season. Mitchell was a force in the paint as she finished
the season ranked 18th in the nation and 3rd in the league with 4.0 offensive rebounds per game and 3rd in the SEC with 6.5 defensive rebounds per game. She also tied for 11th in steals with 1.7 per game.

Mitchell Entering Rare LSU Territory: Last season Ayana Mitchell became the 15th player in LSU history to grab 700 career rebounds and is 12 points away from becoming the 33rd Lady Tiger to crack the 1,000-point milestone. Sitting at 988 points and 724 rebounds, the countdown will be on to see if Mitchell can become just the 4th Lady Tiger to join the 1,000 Points-1,000 Rebounds Club. She would join the ranks of Maree Jackson (1976-78), Julie Gross (1976-80) and Sylvia Fowles.

Junior Jada Duncantell and sophomore Traya Bruce are the top returners for UNO. Duncantell scored 7.5 points per game and led the team with 65 assists and 51 steals. Bruce averaged 7.1 points per game and dished out 58 assists last season.

The feat was last done by a Lady Tiger in 2008, when Sylvia Fowles posted four consecutive double-doubles to end the season and her Lady Tiger career.
Her third double-double of the season was on Nov. 15 versus Tulane with 19 points and tied her then-career rebounds mark with 18.
She set her then-career rebounding high Nov. 11 against Northern Colorado. Mitchell grabbed 18 rebounds and added 14 points in the effort.
