Become a radiologic

technologist!

This program prepares students to enter the radiology

profession at an entry-level position. They work under

the supervision of qualified radiologists or physicians.

Radiologic technologists:

?

Use a variety of imaging technologies, such as X-rays, to create

images of the internal structures of the body.

?

Prepare patients for procedures and position them so that the

images can be obtained according to physician¡¯s orders.

?

Are responsible for ensuring that high-quality images are

obtained for physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions.

?

Adjust and maintain imaging equipment.

?

Work in a variety of settings, such as hospitals, outpatient clinics

and imaging centers.

How long does it take to complete this

program and be job-ready?

? 66 credits (approximately 2 years)

? Program starts fall semester each year.

Second-year program students are also eligible

to earn related radiologic certificates in:

? Computed Tomography

? Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Credential

Program graduates are eligible to sit

for the national certification exam

through the American Registry of

Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) to

become a Registered Technologist

(RT). Upon successful completion of

the ARRT certification exam, graduates

are eligible to apply for their state

licensure to practice in Ohio.
