Badge Wear- Chapter 9-26 of AR 600-8-22 / Military Awards outlines the process to receive, accept, and wear a foreign badge. Generally speaking you will send a memo to the first 0-7 or higher in your chain of command that has court martial authority requesting to accept and wear the badge. Use the two certificates you receive from the event as your substantiating documents. Once approved in writing upload the approval memo and the two certificates to iPERMS for record. AR 670–1 governs the manner of wear of foreign qualification and special skill badges. MSU does not keep a copy of your certificates on file so keep up with them throughout your career. ................
