The Founding Fathers are often revered in American History for their courage, intellect, and vision. Of these attributes, it seems likely that their vision is the most significant today. Politicians, lawyers, and historians frequently argue about what the Founding Fathers “intended” as they planned the country. These interpretations may influence policies concerning: abortion, same sex marriage, gun control, privacy, etc. Your task is to get inside the mind of one Founding Father. You need to learn about their views, and then apply this knowledge to historical and current events. In order to do this effectively, YOU MUST KNOW YOUR FOUNDING FATHER WELL!You will demonstrate what you have learned by writing three paragraphs (at least 5 sentences each) that read like a blog; each paragraph should be on a separate sheet and single sided. You can use Word or Docs, but you should write as if you were your Founding Father. You will also be required to comment on at least three of your classmates blog entries as if you were your Founding Father. To complete this project, follow this task list in order___ Complete the pre-research worksheet (this gives you critical background information)___ Day 1--Conduct general research and enter information on your graphic organizer___ Day 2—Write blog entry one/continue researchThis states/synthesizes your Founding Father’s beliefs in their own time___ Day 3—Write blog entry two/continue researchThis comments on any historical event between your Founding Father’s death and the year 2000___ Day 4—Write blog entry three/continue researchThis comments on any event/issue between the year 2000 and today___ Comment on three of your classmates blog entriesPlease remember, you must write as your Founding Father. Use the word “I” when writing. You must be accurate. What you write must accurately represent your Founding Father’s views. There is room for interpretation, but it must make sense given the belief structure of your Founding Father. You cannot “find the answers” for most of this project. You need to understand the Founding Fathers views in their own time, and then apply those ideas/beliefs to other times using your own judgement. This is not easy. It requires a great deal of higher order thinking on your part. If it’s difficult… keep working, if you’re confused… PLEASE ASK!!!Political Views-22015452918461What would your Founding Father think about each event/law00What would your Founding Father think about each event/lawHistorical EventToday’s event-95264114800left114300Political Affiliations00Political Affiliations4257675114300Biographical Info.00Biographical Info. ................
