American Revolution Timeline/Map Project

American Revolution Timeline/Questions Project

8th Grade US History

Mr. Franks

THE COMPLETE PROJECT IS DUE BY TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2011

For a project grade, you will complete a two part assignment on the American Revolution.

Each stage is worth 50 percent of 100. The first part requires you to place the following events in chronological order on a timeline. You may want to write the events in chronological order on another sheet of paper and then transfer the information to the timeline. By placing these events in order and correctly labeling each event’s date ahead of time you will find that putting them in chronological order on the timeline will be much easier. You will need to use all of chapter six (pages 168-193) to help you. You must place the following events in chronological order on the timeline AND label each event with the correct month, day (when provided*), and year.

-The Surrender of Yorktown*

-Battle of Trenton-Washington Crosses the Delaware River

-Rebels capture of Fort Ticonderoga

-Common Sense was published

-Winter at Valley Forge (Years are fine)

-Victory at Vincennes

-Battle of Saratoga

-Battle of Bunker Hill

-Battle of Cowpens

-Declaration of Independence adopted by Continental Congress*

If you turn this project in on Monday, October 31, you can earn up to 10 bonus points.
