• When you pack your sea bag for travel, please ensure that you pack the following items LAST, and they should be at the TOP of your sea bag for easy access. You will need these specific items at check-in:
- Any medication (prescription or over-the-counter)
- 2 locks. Each lock should have 2 keys. The ‘spare’ key to each lock will be taped to the back of your service jacket during check-in.
• All new items should be washed and folded. Place socks, underwear, T-shirts, and other articles of clothing in one-gallon zip lock bags and mark the clear plastic exterior using a Sharpie marker with the number and type of articles i.e. “8 pr. socks”, 4 unit PT shirts, etc. .
• All items will be properly marked with cadet’s last name and last 4 digits of SSN# (Example: SMITH – 5764)
• Use a black permanent laundry marking pen for white or light color items, and a white or silver permanent marking pen for dark color items.
• Cadets are reminded not to bring candy, gum, magazines, tobacco, drugs, knives or weapons, or other contraband items. ANY ITEM NOT LISTED THAT IS BROUGHT TO TRAINING WILL BE CONFISCATED!
• Cell phones and electronic devices (i.e. IPOD etc...) will be collected upon arrival. Those traveling by air will be given the opportunity to contact their parents/guardians upon arrival.
• Cadets will need to wear a watch since all cell phones will be collected.
• All cadets must conform to the following haircut guidelines:
FEMALE: Hair will be secured in a bun to conform to their cover.
MALE: Will have a navy regulation haircut at check-in.
Hair must be within regulations in length and color. If cadet does not have a proper haircut they will be turned away at check-in.
CADETS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN SPENDING MONEY – KEEP IT LOCKED UP!!
