Cheltenham Business Pride Excellence Awards – Nominees Announced

The Cheltenham Business Excellence Awards will be taking place during Mayor-Making Day (19 May), to celebrate local achievements for 2008. 

As well as the Chamber of Commerce award - whose nominees are a closely guarded secret - one Business Pride member will be acknowledged for their good work for defining the economic community in a unique way.

Keeping Cheltenham's Boots Corner moving during High Street Closure

Boots Corner in Cheltenham will be closed for two weeks from Monday May 11th.

Wales & West Utilities have requested the closure so they can replace an old gas pipeline in Cheltenham High Street. This work is essential to replace the pipeline, which has reached the end of its life.

EVENT for Cheltenham Business Pride members: Inspiration and spirit of local Enterprise 09

This year's special guest is Richard Farleigh of BBC TV's Dragon's Den fame, who is to provide the keynote opening address at Enterprise 09. Enterprise 09 is a new, innovative event designed to create a 'one stop shop' of advice and information for local business leaders.

Business Link, who is hosting the event, is delighted to have captured Richard, to deliver an inspiring keynote speech.

Parklife accelerates business growth in Cheltenham

Businesses based on the Lansdown and Kingsditch industrial estates have been able to benefit from a unique business park project for Gloucestershire, thanks to funding from Gloucestershire First, the European Social Fund and Cheltenham Borough Council.

Lansdown was the first to benefit from the initiative during Phase 1, which has been able to act as the catalyst for other business parks to become involved and consolidate their operations during the difficult economic climate.
