Electronic Resources for Music - University of Minnesota

ELECTRONIC RESOURCES FOR MUSIC

The Music Library provides access to many electronic resources. This document briefly describes a selection of those dedicated to music (the first six cited below, which are available through the Music Library Web site) as well as general databases that give information on music (described on the following pages). All may be used at computer workstations in the Library under the menu option “Indexes and abstracts” on the Electronic Resources homepage. Most can also be accessed from home or office via the University Library on the World Wide Web () by using a Northwestern Netid through the Proxy CGI gateway. Printed editions of some of these resources (particularly Music Index, RILM, RIPM, and RISM) provide information not included in the electronic version.
