EANGUS January 17, 2019One Massachusetts AveWashington, DC 20001 CSM (Ret) Karen Craig, EANGUS PresidentI’m pleased to announce once again, USAA will provide $1,000 per state, for scholarship grants to each state, territory, DC and NGB T-10, to assist with their 2019 Enlisted state scholarship programs. USAA takes pride in sponsoring scholarships to recognize outstanding Enlisted members of the National Guard and their immediate family members for their contributions to our nation and communities. Our guidelines below will ensure USAA can provide a sound audit trail for our financial managers.Enclosed you will find the 2018 Enlisted Scholarship Request form. Scholarship checks will be issued only upon receipt of this completed form. Forms must be submitted prior to May 31, 2019 to be processed. Checks will be made payable to each state organization and not the individual recipient. The tax identification number is a requirement to issue the check, along with a completed W-9. Our local Military Affairs Representatives would like an opportunity to be present at the local award ceremonies, so please indicate the date of your presentation. (TBD is not a date)My sincere thanks to the EANGUS National Office for forwarding this letter and request form to the state Enlisted associations. This is a program between State associations and USAA and a part of the overall relationship between EANGUS and USAA. Being able to offer financial support to the Enlisted state scholarship programs is another example of USAA’s service to the men and women of our National Guard.
