Dear Sir/Madam,

I highly believe that the power engineering and related to it technologies are expected to be the next issue in focus for the world. And the reasoning behind this is that controlling the power has already become too complex to be done manually. Now it requires automated solutions, bringing efficiency and dealing with overwhelming complexity. This is where power meets IT.

As a third year student of the university, specialized in informatics and electrical engineering, as well as of the faculty, studying computer systems, I am already full of new ideas and the will to apply them for the benefit of humanity. For the years I have been researching in artificial intelligence, neural networks, complex systems and interactions, power saving techniques, I found myself being able to grasp in my mind all of them and to comprehend them completely, although these technologies tend to be big and unpredictable in their behaviour.

As soon as I have learn about this work You kindly offer, I felt glad to be finally able to get real experience in complex systems, to get on the edge of the field, to find applications for my ideas. I absolutely believe that the knowledge I gained during my studies at the university, as well as via self-education, online courses and my past working experience is enough to carry on with the problems I will face throughout my work at ABB. Also, I believe that my language skills will be of good use (I have been learning English for 13 years, since school, had some experience while being to the UK; what is more, I have been studying German for 2 years in school).

I would be glad to apply my willingness to work and professional skills for the benefit of ABB.

Thank You for taking Your time, and I look forward to hearing from You soon.

Sincerely,

Ilya Mikhaltsou

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a fourth year student at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, studying Telecommunication Networks.

I am really very interested in offered work, I’m eager to practice and to apply all my knowledge, skills, intelligence and enthusiasm to offered work.

I’m sure in my capabilities as well as in my ability to execute different kinds of IT work.

I have a good theoretical base. During my studies I was taking part in different conferences and prepared presentations, such as “GPS-based activities” (English Conference), “Digital signature based on cryptosystem of El Gamal” (Mathematic conference). Also I am a participant of “Dell social innovation challenge”, You can learn about my project on this website: .

The level of my English language is excellent: I have been studying English for 15 years, starting from kinder garden till university times. Also I worked with foreign students, who were involved in IAESTE training in Belarus in summer 2010 and 2011.

I attended intensive courses of conversational English at ESL (English as a Second Language) with native speakers. During the last two years I am attending courses of technical English language. Besides I have basics of German language (3 years of studies at school and a course of conversational German language).

I want to become a qualified specialist in IT sphere. Next year I will design my diploma project and I’m sure that practical experience can be my big step forward. I hope that working experience in the company Thrombogenics NV will help me define a diploma topic and direct me in professional sphere.

I received a silver medal at school for excellent studies. I have developed from school such qualities as commitment and diligence. Nowadays I attend regularly swimming pool and try to keep healthy style of life. I had an experience of living in international camp in Nigniy Novgorod, Russia, in summer 2010, where a group of 10 people from every country (while there were near 15 countries in total) presented their national traditions, food, clothes and culture. During that period I’ve experienced what a team means and felt myself as a part of my native country. Participating in the Camp provided me a great opportunity to practice my English language.

To my mind Belgium is an attractive country with lots of places worth seeing. I’m looking forward to tasting national food and learning mentality of the Belgians.

I’m looking forward to hearing from You soon and I would like to thank You for taking your time with this letter.

Yours faithfully,

Kseniya Okuneva
