Minutes of the Monthly General Meeting

Held at Dr Price Rooms, 6 Little Street, Toowoomba, QLD 4350

On the 24 June 2018 commencing at 4:08 pm.

|Opening: |President, Allan Boardman opened the meeting and welcomed all members. |

|Present: |Allan Boardman (President), Ann Shepherd (Secretary), Len Cooper (Treasurer) and 18 members as |

| |Motion Number: 0552018 – The noted apologies were accepted on the motion of John Reis, seconded |

| |The members present were happy that they had received and read the minutes. |

|Minutes: |TADOMS Library: |

| |Allan Boardman is still waiting to hear from Cr McDonald in relation to housing the TADOMS |

| |library at ‘Harris House’. |

| |Members further discussed housing the library with the following outcomes: |

| |Could a shipping container be used |

| |Wherever the library is situated it will need to be manned |

| |Ensure the club is aware of Councils bylaws in regards to placing a shipping container in a |

| |permanent position |

| |Lynne Baines advised that they have an insulated 20 foot container on their property which is for|

| |sale and she believes it would more than accommodate the library. Action: Lynne Baines to bring|

| |back to the meeting the purchase price of the shipping container. |

| |Property Registrar: |

| |This position is still vacant – we need a volunteer. It is becoming URGENT that this position is |

| |taken on by a member. |

|Inwards Correspondence: |Secretary verbally summarised the correspondence from 27 May 2018 to 24 June 2018 of 32 inwards |

|Treasurers Report: |The May 2018 Treasurers reports was read by the Treasurer stating the club’s financial position. |

| |Motion Number: 0592018 – Moved by Len Cooper and seconded by Shirley Riethmuller that the |

| |Treasurers report be accepted as a true account of the Society’s financial position and that the |

| |cheques be ratified for payment. CARRIED. |

|Building Sub Committee |Len Cooper advised that Toowoomba Regional Council could not accept the footing plans for the |

|Report: |office building as a site plan needed to be submitted as well. |

|Rally Report: |Rally Minutes attached. |

| |Jeanette Kummerow moved the below Rally meeting motion which was seconded by David Eastwell |

| |Motion 0602018: Ian Haycock moved that Jim Austin be engaged to provide a reliable sound system |

| |for the duration of the 2018 Rally up to the value of $3,000, seconded by Bruce Agnew. |

|Social Convenors Report: |Janette Kummerow reminded members that they need to book the trip to Inverell with Stonestreets |

| |by the 17 July 2018. Time is running out and due to ill health some members have had to cancel. |

| |Motion Number: 0612018 – Moved by Janette Kummerow, seconded Ian Haycock that the Social |

| |Convenors report be accepted. CARRIED. |

|General Business: |Members discussed having a vehicle or vehicles with signage on them at the Carnival of Flowers. |

| |Eddie Hansford advised that he was driving his tractor (under TADOMS name) with a float for the |

| |Oakey community in the Carnival of Flowers and will ask if he could put some TADOMS signage on |

| |the float. Eddie to advise members at next meeting. |

| |Allan Boardman thanked all members that attended Farmfest. It was a really diverse and great |

| |display. The members efforts was really appreciated. |

| |The Polocross club approached Allan Boardman seeking permission for one person to use the office |

| |at the Oakey Showgrounds for polocross administration this last weekend. Consent was given. |

| |Action: Ian Haycock to bring back a quotation from Smartsign on the cost of 8 – 10 generic |

| |floating banners to advertise TADOMS Club and the Rally. |

|As there is no further business the President declared the meeting closed at 4:55 pm. The next general meeting will be held|

|on Sunday 29 July 2018 commencing at 4:00 pm at the Dr Price rooms, 6 Little Street, Toowoomba. |
