The Army will pay 100 percent of the tuition and authorized fees charged by a school up to the established per semester hour cap and fiscal year ceiling. Decide on a major Selecting your major and registering for classes is a critical step in the process of attending MTSU. A full list of degrees offered at MTSU can be found here. If you are undecided, MTSU's career center has a number of useful tools to help you determine the best degree for you:

Advising 1. Advising is required for all new freshmen and new transfer students before registration. If you have decided on your major, you will be assigned an advisor from the department of your major. 2. If you have not decided on a major, you should contact the University College Advising Center at (615) 898-2339. You will be assigned an advisor and can schedule a meeting. 3. Academic advising is recommended each semester to ensure that you stay on track for graduation. Please contact your academic advisor to review your progress, work out a schedule of classes, obtain program updates/changes, and seek help in making academic decisions. Getting advised early will allow you to register on time. 4. Any student with a prescribed course requirement must be advised by an advisor in the University College Advising Center (UCAC) until all requirements are completed. 5. All currently enrolled undergraduate students with less than 30 hours earned are required to be advised by their faculty/college/UCAC advisor as determined by the college's advising plan before registration is permitted. An email will be sent to your MTMAIL email account with specific instructions. A hold will appear on your account preventing priority registration if advising has not been completed. 6. All undeclared students are required to see their UCAC advisor. 7. All preprofessional students must be advised by their preprofessional advisor.
