FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I become a Top 500 scholarship grantee? How do I know if I am a Top 500 scholar?

The Top 500 scholarship is granted to applicants who meet the following criteria: (1) Must be a public junior high school student (2) Must have high scores in the Ateneo SHS Admission

Test (ASHAT) If the applicant meets both criteria, the scholarship grant will automatically reflect on his or her ASHSAT results. If you have been granted the Top 500 scholarship, the first sentence of your NOA is "We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected as a recipient of the TOP 500"

What if my NOA did not state that I am part of the Top 500?

Can I apply for a scholarship if I am from a private junior high school?

You can apply for a Grant-In-Aid (GIA) scholarship if you are from a private school or if you were not able to become part of the Top 500 scholarship program. The applicants of the GIA scholarship must first speak to the scholarship officer in order to get a GIA scholarship application form. In addition, he or she must present the ASHSAT result/Notice of Acceptance upon visiting the scholarship officer.

Can I apply for the GIA scholarship if I have to take a summer bridging / enrichment class?

I have more questions. How do I contact the proper office/s?

For applicants who are required to take enrichment classes, he/she must first pass the enrichment class before applying for the Grant-In-Aid scholarship.
