My objective is to use my aptitude and experience to provide up-to-date electrical training based on current theory and National Electrical Code concepts to provide increased electrical literacy for professionals involved in the electrical industry of Utah.

Experience

Project Manager/Master Electrician

• Licensed Electrician, State of Utah since 1979

• Completed several commercial/industrial electrical projects

• Worked as a project manager/superintendent on large construction projects

• Small-business owner (6-years)

Full-Time Electrical Instructor / Utah Electrical JATC

• 25-years experience instructing apprentice and journeymen electrical courses.

• Lead instructor for average of 30 National Electrical Code continuing education courses per year

• Project coordinator for developing National Electrical Code continuing education courses for State of Utah Department of Professional Licensing (DOPL)

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers LU 354

Active member since January 1992

Faithfully attend Union Meetings

Served on many committees including Chairman of the Safety Committee, Training/Education Committee, as Election Judge for two Union Officer elections, and Member Activities Committees

Qualifications

• Associate of Science Degrees in General Studies(Honors) and Electricity/Apprenticeship (Honors)

• NJATC National Master Instructor Certification Program – NTI (2006)

• State of Utah Licensed Journeyman/ Master Electrician (1983)

• State of Utah Licensed Building Inspector-Electrical (1993)

• Instructor for OSHA training classes including instructor update certifications. OSHA – 500/510 a courses.

• Completed Train-the-Trainer course for NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace

• Development and instruction of hundreds of National Electrical Code Courses relating Significant Code Changes, Journeyman Continuing Education , and Apprentice instruction

• Student and user of the National Electrical Code since 1978
