2014-2015 STATE OF MAINE SUMMARY OF ATV & SNOWMOBILE LAWS AND RULES

SNOWMOBILE TRAIL MAP

To get a full-sized version of this map, you can pick one up at the Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Main Office, Maine Snowmobile Clubs throughout the state and the Maine Tourism Association. You can also request one by mailing $2 to: Maine Snowmobile Association PO Box 80 Augusta, ME 04332

This year Maine is reducing the number of trail signs we distribute to clubs. Most trails are on private land and in order to cooperate with landowners, reduce the cost of trails, help the declining trail maintenance volunteers, and follow the International Guidelines for minimal snowmobile trail signing. We are notifying riders to ride the conditions they see ahead of them at all times using caution and take responsibility for your safety by driving at reasonable speeds for the conditions you see ahead. Join a club where you ride and help support the quality trails we all enjoy.

THIS IS NOT A TRAIL RIDING MAP.

It is designed to help you find local Snowmobile Clubs and locate Snowmobile trail systems. Please be aware that trails may change at any time due to wood harvesting or other landowner activities.

A Special Thanks

to all Cooperating Landowners without

whom these trails would not exist!
