Position Title: Assistant Professor, Tenure-Earning
Position Description: The Master of Public Health Program at the University of West Florida, a comprehensive/regional institution, invites applications for a 9-month Assistant Professor position starting August 8, 2014. Applicants for this position in the totally online Master of Public Health program must have a terminal degree in public health or closely related area. If the terminal degree is in an area other than public health the applicant must have an MPH from a CEPH-accredited program and public health experience. Online teaching experience is preferred. Responsibilities include teaching three courses in the fall and spring semesters with an anticipation for compensated teaching and advising during the summer when funds are available. A strong background in biostatistics and epidemiology is preferred. The successful applicant is expected to engage in student advising, development and oversight of internships, recruitment and retention activities as well as service to the University. Salary is commensurate with experience.
