Cherryl L. Hardy Date of Death 1/1/2007

BREMEN -- Cherryl L. Hardy, 59, of Bremen, died Jan. 1 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband Rick of Bremen; two daughters: Traci and Jay Stoneburner of Bremen and Margo and Danny Aukerman of Bremen; her father, Otto and Verda Bussanmas of South Bend; one sister, two step-brothers; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 S.R. 331, Bremen.

Services will be Thursday at 10?30 a.m. with Pastor Chuck Kreig officiating, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Bremen Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Danna G. Livinghouse Date of Death 1/1/2007

PLYMOUTH -- Danna G. Livinghouse, 56, of 222 Parkview St., Plymouth, left us to be with her Lord and Savior, on Monday, Jan. 1, 2007 at 5:35 a.m. at the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.

Danna was born on Aug. 24, 1950, in Plymouth, to Roy and Ernesteen "Tiny" (Anderson) Livinghouse. She is survived by her mother, Ernesteen "Tiny" Livinghouse; her son, Mark Randall "Randy" Livinghouse of Lakeland, Fla.; her twin sister, Glenna Livinghouse of Arizona; her sisters: Sandra (Rod) Fry of Plymouth and Merijo Livinghouse of Plymouth; her brother, Mark Livinghouse of Plymouth; five nieces; two nephews; three, great-nieces; and one great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Livinghouse.

The Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison St., Plymouth, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Private family services will be held.

James W., Sr. Budd Date of Death 1/2/2007

WALKERTON -- James W. Budd Sr., 73, of Timothy Trail in Walkerton, passed away at 5:53 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center/Plymouth after an extended illness.

Jim was born on Dec. 7, 1933 in Winamac and resided in the area all his lifetime. On Feb. 19, 1960, he married Virginia Louise Carroll in Michigan City.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; a daughter, Pamela Sue Garab of Walkerton; two sons: James W. (Theresa) Budd Jr. and Gregory L. (Margaret) Carroll Sr., both of Plymouth; a brother, Edward Budd of Goodland; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, whom he loved and cherished.

Mr. Budd was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Hilda (Poor) Budd; two sons: Jerry E. and Larry LeRoy Budd; three sisters: Alice Burns, Lois Imel and Mary Carmany; and two brothers: LeRoy Budd and Elmer Budd.

Mr. Budd was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of

the American Legion Post 289 in Walkerton, the VFW and the IOOF Lodge in Walkerton. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Walkerton.

The family would like all memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church in Walkerton.

Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5 in Hanley & Sons Funeral Home, Walkerton Chapel, located at 1216 Roosevelt Rd., Walkerton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6 in the funeral home with Pastor D.O. VanDyne officiating. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. North Liberty VFW Post 1954 will have military graveside services.

The HANLEY & Sons Funeral Home, Walkerton Chapel, handled arrangements and services and extend deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Budd family.

Robert C., Sr. Richards Date of Death 1/2/2007

PLYMOUTH -- Robert C. Richards Sr., 79, 20284 Lincoln Highway, Plymouth, died at 1:38 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, of an apparent unexpected heart attack.

Robert was born the son of John H. Sr., and Riddie (Gilliam) Richards in Rogersville, Tenn., on Dec. 16, 1927. There he was raised and graduated from Rogersville High School.

On Jan. 21, 1949, in Bloomington, Ill., Robert and Marjorie E. Stoddard were married. Marjorie died on Aug. 23, 2006.

Robert was self-employed. A known `workaholic,' he was the owner-operator of Richard's Saw Mill for more than 40 years.

He played the guitar and sang in his younger years and always enjoyed music. His favorite breed of horse was the Appaloosa.

Barbara Lynn Beville Date of Death 1/3/2007

PLYMOUTH -- Barbara Lynn Beville, 62, of Ft. Wayne, formerly of Knox, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3 in Lutheran Hospital of natural causes.

Survivors include her two brothers: David C. Beville of Ft. Wayne and Dennis W. and wife Francie Beville along with her niece Sarah A. Beville and great nephew Evan Joseph Beville, all of Plymouth. Three aunts and cousins also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. (E.S.T.) Saturday, Jan.6 in the Crown Hill Cemetery at Knox. There will be no visitation.

Preferred are memorial gifts in Barbara's memory to the Marshall-Starke Development Center, St. Michael School or charity of the donor's choice.

Donald R. Neidlinger Date of Death 1/3/2007

CULVER -- Donald R. "Don" Neidlinger, 70, a lifetime Marshall County resident, died of natural causes at his residence, 16682 14 B Rd., Culver, at 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, where he had lived since 1965.

Born in Tyner, on Nov. 22, 1936, the son of Fay O. and Marjorie Kelver Neidlinger, Don was raised in Culver.

He graduated from Culver High School with the class of 1954, and earned his Ferrier Certificate from Michigan State University. He also received an associates degree in equine science.

In his younger years, he raced horses and remained a ferrier until December of this past year.

He was an expert field tile installer for over 40 years through his company, Neidlinger Drainage.

An avid sportsman he enjoyed coon hunting and raising fox terriers and coon dogs.

Musically talented, Don played the saxophone and stand-up bass with the band, "Cardiac Kids" made up of various family members and friends.

Don was proud to be a longtime charter member of the "Culver Liars Club."

He is survived by two daughters and two sons and soon-to-be eight grandchildren.

His daughters and their families are: Donna G. Greene, Culver and children, Chevy "Dodge" Porter and Johnathon George Hopple; and Angela Neidlinger and Tim Weist, Argos, with children, Robert Allen Green II, Dugan Vaughn Green, Allison Weist and the anticipated arrival of Peyton Timothy Weist.

His sons are John P. Neidlinger, Plymouth, with daughter Kaitlin Dean Stone: and Casey B. and Angie Neidlinger, Greenwood with son Elijah David Neidlinger.

Two sisters: Joan and Francis Zink, Culver, and Jean and Clem Miller, Rochester, together with numerous nieces and nephews, survive as well.

Don was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Morris and three brothers: Ralph, Glen and Robert "Sam" Neidlinger.

Friends are invited to share memories of Don's life with his family on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services for Don will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, in the funeral home. Tom Padberg, Chaplain of the Marshall County Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, will officiate.

Burial will be in the Culver Masonic Cemetery, Culver.

Betty J. Wicks Date of Death 1/4/2007

HOUSTON, TEXAS -- Betty J. Wicks, who in life found comfort in the Word of God, now enjoys eternal peace in the presence of her loving Savior.

Betty, a former Marshall county resident, died this past week of natural causes at the age of 78. She has made Houston her home for the past 10 years.

Betty was born in Huntington County, Indiana, on August 22, 1929, the daughter of Charles J.

Sr., and Hilda L. Kuschel Wicks and had attended Muncie schools.

Betty is survived by four sisters and two brothers.

Her sisters are: JoAnn and Robert Powers, LaPaz: Carolyn I. Wicks and Mary A. Wicks, both of Plymouth: and Linda L. and Fred Holdeman, Lakeville.

Her brothers are Charles H. and Violet Wicks and David J. Wicks, all of Plymouth.

Several nieces and nephews and their families survive as well.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Robert D. Wicks.

Friends will be invited by the family to celebrate her life and share memories on Wednesday, January 10, 2007, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the New Oakhill Cemetery Chapel located on S. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services will follow visitation in the Chapel at 11 a.m.

Burial will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery.

WINONA LAKE -- Mary I. Huggins, 70, of Winona Lake, died Friday, Jan. 5.

She is survived by her husband: Thomas Huggins, and two daughters: Donna and Rick Hackworth of Warsaw and Deb and Joe Cosgrove of Anderson; four grandchildren, one greatgrandchild and one sister.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.

A celebration of Mary's life will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Carl Adams officiating.

Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.

Charles L. Jones Date of Death 1/5/2007

PLYMOUTH -- Charles L. Jones, age 85, of 2000 Westgate Avenue, #101 A, Plymouth, passed away at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 at Miller's Merry Manor in Plymouth.

Charles was born on April 2, 1921 in Plymouth to Elzie and Valira (Palmer) Jones. On March 25, 1944, Charles and Roma G. Taylor were united in marriage in Crawford, Nebraska. Charles served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He worked in the construction field all of his life, and worked for Reese Construction for 25 years.

Charles is survived by his wife of, 62 years, Roma G. Jones, their daughters, Judi and Bill Xaver of Plymouth and Carol and Robert Yonn of Harlem, Ga.; four grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren, and one more on the way; his sisters, Esther Klapp of Plymouth, Mary Smith of Millersburg, Hazel Strickler of Millersburg, Margaret Wolfinger of Millersburg, Barbara Bayse of Fort Wayne, and Betty Sullivan of Plymouth; and his brother, Harry R. Jones of Wallport, Ore.
