The best time to prepare your frosting is while the cake is cooling to room bine the powdered sugar, butter, milk, and vanilla in a bowl and beat by hand or with a mixer until smooth and fluffy.When the cake has sufficiently cooled, take a frosting spatula and spread the frosting evenly over the whole cake, including the sides.
