SECTION I: INTRODUCTION

2. CLARIFICATION OF TERMS 2.1. Professional firms or individuals that submit a proposal fo a a d of a o t a t Co t a t a e referred to as Ve do s i this do u e t. Quote Documents include Introduction, Specifications, Re uest fo Quote, a d the To 's Purchase Order Terms & Conditions. 2.3. OCEAN CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT CONFERENCE ROOM RENOVATION is herein referred to as Wo k .

3. QUESTIONS AND INQUIRIES 3.1. For information regarding Quote Documents and requirements, please contact Leila Milewski at lmilewski@ or call 410-723-6643.

4. SUBMISSION OF QUOTE DOCUMENTS 4.1. Quote Documents should be identified with the project name: OCEAN CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT CONFERENCE ROOM RENOVATION and should be addressed to: Town of Ocean City, Attn: Procurement Department, 204 65th Street, Bldg. A, Ocean City, MD 21842 4.2. Quotes are due and will be opened on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 1PM in the Procurement Department located at 204 65th Street, Bldg. A, Ocean City, MD 21842. 4.3. Electronic Quote Documents are being accepted. 4.4. All Quotes must be made on the required Quote forms. All blank spaces for Quote prices must be completed in ink or typewritten, and the Quote form must be fully completed and executed when submitted. Only one copy of the Quote form is required.

5. NOTICE TO VENDORS 5.1. The Town may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all Quotes. Any Quote may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of Quotes or authorized postponement thereof. Any Quote received after the time and date specified will not be considered. 5.2. After Quotes have been submitted, the Vendor will not assert that there was a misunderstanding concerning the quantities or the nature of the SCOPE OF WORK or SPECIFICATIONS to be performed. 5.3. The QUOTE DOCUMENTS contain the provisions required for the completion of the Work. Information obtained from an officer, agent, or employee of the Town or any other person will not affect the risks or obligations assumed by the Vendor or relieve them from fulfilling any of the conditions of the Contract. 5.4. The Town may make such investigations as it deems necessary to determine the ability of the Vendor to perform the Work and the Vendor will furnish to the Town all such information and date for this purpose as the Town may request. 5.5. The Town reserves the right to reject any Quote if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Vendor fails to satisfy the Town that such Vendor is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Contract and to complete the Work contemplated therein. 5.6. Each Vendor is responsible for inspecting the site and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Specifications requested. The failure or omission of any Vendor to do any of the foregoing will in no way relieve any Vendor from any obligation in respect to its Quote.

5.7. These Quote Documents, Ve do 's response to this solicitation, and subsequent purchase order(s) to the Successful Vendor contain the entire understanding between the parties and any additions or modifications hereto may be made in writing executed by both parties.

6. PRE-QUOTE MEETING 6.1. A pre-quote meeting will be held at 2:30PM on Tuesday, March 14 2017, located at the Public Safety Building, 6501 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, MD 21842. Vendors should arrive at the lobby of the Public Safety Building no later than 2:25PM.

7. METHOD OF AWARD 7.1. The Town intends to make award to the lowest responsive and responsible Vendor meeting Specifications for the Quote.

8. TERMINATION 8.1. Termination for Default: When the Vendor has not performed or has unsatisfactorily performed the Contract, the Town may terminate the Contract for default. Upon termination for default, payment may be withheld at the discretion of the Town. Failure on the part of the Vendor to fulfill the contractual obligations will be considered just cause for termination of the Contract. The Vendor will be paid for Work satisfactorily performed prior to termination less any excess costs incurred by the Town in reprocuring and completing the Work. 8.2. If a representative or warranty of either Party to the Contract is false or misleading in any material respe t, o if eithe Pa t ea hes a ate ial p o isio of the Co t a t Cause , the non-breaching Party will give the other Party written notice of such cause. If such Cause is not remedied within seven (7) days after receipt of such notice, (unless, with respect to those Causes which cannot be reasonably corrected or remedied within such seven (7) day period, the breaching Party will have commenced to correct or remedy the same within such seven (7) day period and thereafter will proceed with all due diligence to correct or remedy the same), the Party giving notice will have the right to terminate this Contract upon the expiration of such seven (7) day period.

SECTION II: SPECIFICATIONS

1. SCOPE

1.1. OCEAN CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT CONFERENCE ROOM RENOVATION as called for in

the Quote Documents.

1.2. Work Includes all labor and materials needed to complete the following:

Remove existing carpet up to the threshold of the door

Prepare floor by removing existing glue from carpet and repair any existing

imperfections for proper leveling

Install shoe molding, fill nail holes, and paint

1.2.2. Walls

Prepare walls for paint by filling nail holes, pops, cracks, etc.

Prime and paint three full-sized walls floor to ceiling and one foot wall floor to slate top

(waist height) walls with specified product. Area is approximately 900 square feet.

Furnish and install base cabinet made of solid plywood box construction.

1.4. All debris must be removed from site and disposed of at an off-site location.

2. VENDOR QUALIFICATIONS

2.1. The Successful Vendor must be licensed to perform work in the state of Maryland as

well as the Town of Ocean City, MD.

2.2. Successful Vendor obtain all necessary permits.

2.3. No Contract or Purchase Order will be awarded except to a responsible Vendor

capable of performing the class of Work specified.

3. CONTRACT PRICING

3.1. Pricing will not change during the Contract Period.

In the event a different Quote form is used, the completed Quote Documents will not be considered.

The undersigned understands that the Town has the right to reject any and all completed Quote Documents for any reason.

NOTE: THIS QUOTE FORM MUST BE SIGNED BY AN OFFICER OF THE VENDOR OR AN AUTHORIZED AGENT FOR THESE QUOTE DOCUMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED BY THE TOWN.
