SUNDAY NIGHT SYNOPSIS

On Sunday night, Jonathan Rue spoke about the Paul using his chains and his imprisonment to advance the Gospel message. He also discussed how some of Paul’s coworkers were advancing the gospel within impure motives, and that Paul didn’t care because the message of Jesus was being proclaimed. Rue concluded by emphasizing the priority that the Gospel takes over all other decisions and priorities in our lives.

TONIGHT’S BIG IDEA

In the Christian life, good and bad motivations exist. Sometimes Christians do good out of pure motives. Other times, Christians do good out of impure motives. Every Christian must know that the reason that Christians love one another, do good, and spread the Gospel of Jesus is because God first loved us. Christians need to know this truth if they want their witness to be more effective to friends, neighbors, relatives, and a non-believing world.
