JOB DESCRIPTION

ACCOUNTANT

KW BEVERAGE

I. All accountants must have the following qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (accounting) from an accredited college or possess equivalent experience

Complete working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Have a fundamental understanding of accounting, cost accounting, auditing, and federal and state payroll taxes

II. The accountant is directly responsible to the Vice President-Controller and shall work with all members of the Home Office Accounting Staff to coordinate all accounting functions.

III. The accountant is responsible for the following functions:

Analyze all incoming data from the branch operations. Analyze disbursement vouchers for supporting source documents, and ascertain that all receipts and disbursements are properly coded

Analyze daily inventory reports and all supporting documents

Proof and post beer purchase orders for payment processing

Post daily sales recaps to the accounting system

Prepare monthly retail sales and inventory report

Analyze and prepare monthly accruing journal entries

Prepare adjusting journal entries as needed for the purpose of accurately reflecting monthly information

Analyze and balance accounts receivable subsidiary ledger

Prepare statements for monthly promotional expense

Analyze gross profit on sales

Prepare monthly financial statements

Prepare monthly beer, wine and sales tax returns

Reconcile bank account

Analyze and schedule appropriate accounts

Review quarterly payroll tax and unemployment returns

Review weekly payrolls

Prepare year end 1099’s

Any and all other duties as assigned by the Vice President-Controller
