French Club Officers will meet at 3:45pm in Room 1101.

FBLA will meet at 3:40pm in Room 203. Our fundraiser will be the week of Nov. 12.

HOSA will meet at 3:45pm in Pod 25.

FCCLA Officers will meet at 3:50pm in Room 707.

Thurs. Nov. 8

MANDATORY National Art Honor Society meeting for ALL members until 4:30pm.

Junior Deans will meet at 3:45pm in Room 401 for letter writing campaign.

Latino Achievers will meet at 9:00am in the cafeteria. See Mrs. Medlin in Room 702 to get your pass.

Spanish Club will meet at 3:50pm in Room 1106. Bring a t-shirt design if you have one!

National Art Honor Society MANDATORY meeting for ALL members afterschool in Room 1002.

Freshmen Deans will meet at 3:45pm in Room 502. All members should attend and bring items for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. See signup list outside 502 for items needed.

Sat. Nov. 10

Madrigals and Caprice Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser will be held at Glenn View Baptist Church from 5:00-8:00p. Church is located at 4275 Glenn High Rd. and dinner is $8.00 per person. Proceeds help send the choir to compete at Disney World.

Tuesday, Nov. 13

Drama Club will meet at 4PM in the auditorium.  If you can not make the PM meeting there will be a morning meeting on Wednesday, November 14th at 8:15 in the auditorium. 

FCCLA/FACS will meet in in Room 707 at 3:50pm. Bring items to fill shoeboxes. If you did not attend the last meeting, see Ms. Hegstrom or another member for info on what to bring.

Club Francais will meet in Room 1101 at 3:45pm. Please bring your t-shirt money and your Operation Christmas Child items to the meeting!

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) meets in Room 302 at 8:15am.

EFHS Instrumental Music Dept. is planning a trip to Busch Gardens/Williamsburg May 11-13. A parent interest meeting will be held in the Media Center Nov.13 at 7:00pm.

Anime Club will meet in Pod 16 from 3:45-4:30pm.

Monday, Nov. 19

Anime Officers will meet from 3:45-4:15pm in Pod 16.

Tuesday, Nov. 20

Blood Drive sponsored by Senior Deans will be held in the old gym. Donors must be at least 16 yrs old. Stop by Room 506 or Pod 23 to sign up for an appointment.

Friday, Nov. 30

Anime Club will meet from 3:45-4:30pm in Pod 16.

Guidance

Rotary Shadow Day will be held Wed. Nov. 14. Students who would like to shadow a business professional can apply now! It’s a great opportunity to experience daily activities of community professionals in law enforcement, banking, optometry, and many more. See Mrs. Plante in guidance for an application. Deadline is Nov. 7th!

Freshmen and Sophomore Crosby Scholars who have not done a Saturday Academy can still complete the requirement. Academies have been added on Monday, Nov. 5 and Monday, Nov. 12. Please sign up at .

Volume 5 of the Scholarship Newsletter is available on the Guidance webpage and hardcopies can be picked up in the Guidance office.

November 12-16 is College Application Week sponsored by CFNC!!!  Students who have used a fee waiver for the SAT/ACT can apply to the 110 public Univeristies, community colleges, and independent colleges/Univeristies free.  Students who do not qualify to use a fee waiver can apply to all community colleges, a select group of independent universities/colleges, and 4 state universities using the fee waiver.  Sign up in Guidance by November 9 and pick up your "Get Ready" packet in order to participate in EFHS College Application Day - November 14 or apply on your own the entire week!

Counselors will begin meeting with Juniors on November 7.  In the individual meetings, students will receive an unofficial copy of their transcript and discuss their plans and timelines for their "life after EFHS".  Contact your Counselor for more information.

November 28 - NC Greensboro - November 28 - Guidance Conference Room (11:15 - 12:15)

*Interested students should sign up by November 20 to hear about the UNCG in 3 program

Driver’s education for Forsyth County is now handled by the NC Driving School. You may check their website for classes and times at or call 1-800-375-6550.

YEARBOOKS are ON SALE NOW! You may order through Herff Jones at 1-866-287-3096 , online at , or mail back the form you received in the mail.

Homecoming pictures need to be picked up in Room 401.

French Club Members are reminded to bring in their items for Operation Christmas Child, as well as their t-shirt money NO LATER than the Nov. 13th meeting.

Reflections Program entries are due Nov. 8, 2012 by 4:00pm. Please turn all entries into the Guidance office. The entry form and rules can be found at . The program theme this year is “The Magic of a Moment.”

Parking Reminders: Any junior or senior who is parking on campus should display a VALID EFHS parking sticker. Stickers are still on sale in the main office BEFORE and AFTER school.

Cars will be TOWED if you are parked without a valid EFHS sticker! Freshmen and sophomores are NOT allowed to purchase parking stickers or park on campus.

Need help in MATH? Math Tutoring Lab will be open Thursday, Nov. 8 before and after school in Room 307. They can help all levels of math.

Support the staff of THE TALON and show off your school spirit by purchasing a “BEAST Forsyth” t-shirt! Short-sleeve and long-sleeve shirts are available. Ask a staff member for details or stop by Ms. Messiano’s room, #1110 for an order form!

Faculty, staff, students and parents: Support EFHS in the National Under Armour High School Challenge at . Become a supporter through Facebook, complete supporter challenges, and tweet all your friends and family to support East Forsyth!
