The substantial damage suffered by MZK when it impacted the water, the sudden inrush of cold water at high velocity, the sudden loss of visibility, the injuries suffered by some of the passengers, and the gasp reflex phenomenon known as ‘cold shock’ leading to aspiration of water or laryngeal spasm, would have collectively led to instant incapacitation and rapid drowning. ................
