|Activities/Strategies: Students will complete Activity 1 “Dinner For Two”. Students will sight sing different rhythms that include |
|whole note, half note, quarter note, eighth notes, whole rests, half rests, quarter rests. Practice Rhythm of the rain. |
|Guided Practice/Independent Practice: In Groups students will work on the sight singing and perform the example with their group. |
|Homework: Review the terms used in class. |
|WEDNESDAY |
|Activating Prior Knowledge: Review Rhythm. Review The note names on the G clef and F Clef. |
|Activities/Strategies: Students will complete activity 2 “Staff and Keyboard Note Naming”. Review of what a Grand Staff is and how |
|it is built. Students will practice 2nd part on Rhythm of the Rain. |
|Guided Practice/Independent: Students: Have students do the Grand Staff worksheet. |
