JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE Vice President of Operations
DEPARTMENT Flight Operations
REPORTS TO Executive VP
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Safe operation of all aircraft Compliance to aircraft operation regulatory requirements Interface with ACASS senior management Interface with civil aviation authorities Overall external and internal customer satisfaction related to aircraft operations Aircraft regulatory approvals such as RVSM, MNPS, EFB, etc. Aircraft Sales and Aircraft Management support Special initiatives, including sales growth opportunities as directed by the Executive Vice President
DETAILED AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Control of operations and operational standards of all airplanes operated; The identification of operations coordination functions which impact on operational control (e.g. maintenance, crew scheduling, load control, equipment scheduling); Supervision, organization, function and manning of the following: flight operations; cabin safety; crew scheduling and rostering; training programs; and flight safety; The contents of the company's Operations Manual; The supervision of and the production and amendment of the Operations Manual; Liaison with the regulatory authority on all matters concerning flight operations, including any variations to the governing documents; Liaison with all external agencies which may affect ACASS' operations; Ensuring that ACASS operations are conducted in accordance with current regulations, standards and company policies; Ensuring that crew scheduling complies with flight and duty time guidelines and regulations (when applicable), and all crew members are kept informed of any changes to the regulations and standards; Develop and maintain aircraft frequently asked questions (FAQs); The receipt and actioning of any aeronautical information affecting the safety of flight; The dissemination of airplane safety information, both internal and external; Verifying and monitoring qualifications of flight crew; Maintenance of a current operations library; Liaising with rescue co-ordination centers in the event of an aircraft incident/accident as per the Emergency Response Procedures Manual; and Act as Duty Manager as required
