Parents and students, Please access your teacher's class website, read the page titled, "Syllabus," and initial the following responses agreeing to the terms. Also, please provide your contact information below so that we may be in touch throughout the school year.

I understand that our class website is updated daily with assignments and should be used to access information for make-up work, late/missing assignments, or for additional copies.

I understand that the teacher will send reminders throughout the year using Remind. To participate I will need to text the code provided to me. I also understand that I can stop notifications at any time.

I understand that the discipline procedure includes a warning, take-home detention/parent contact, after-school detention/parent conference, and referral.

I understand that it is the student's responsibility to check out a textbook from the teacher should he/she needs to access one at home. I also understand that the student will have electronic access to the textbook via VPortal.

I understand that the student will have access to some mature materials this year either through a specific unit, such as the Holocaust, or Internet searches for research projects. I understand that I should share any concerns regarding texts, visuals, or videos with the teacher.

I understand that the students will be graded according to the Volusia County School's grading policy. I realize this means that the student will be accountable for turning in assignments on time. I also understand that the student will need to meet certain criteria before being permitted to retake any summative assignment.

I understand that the student will be required to use technology to complete certain assignments. I also understand that it will be the student's responsibility to find a way to access such technology should the student need additional time. I also understand that the student will be given the choice to utilize his/her device during BYOT assignments.

I understand that the student accepts responsibility for the groupings made for group work assignments. I realize that technology might be utilized. I also understand that the student will be responsible for all parts of the assignment regardless of the participation/ work ethic of other students.

I understand that Warrior Time will be used productively for academic purposes only.

I understand that should I have any concerns throughout the school year, I should email them to my teacher.
