This Week in the BRM - For the week of August 28-September 1, 2023

Regularly scheduled rehearsals continue.

Attendance at ALL rehearsals and performances is mandatory.

? Tuesday ? Rehearsal, 6-8:30pm ? Thursday ? Rehearsal, 6-8:30pm ? Friday ? Gulf Breeze Game (See game schedule below)

Please remember: ? Attendance at rehearsal is taken at 6:00pm. Please refer to the band handbook for the grading policy as it relates to being tardy for rehearsal. ? Also, please refer to the band handbook for the grading policy / alternate policy for missing rehearsals or performances. ? Absences should be rare and limited to personal illness or death in the family. The need to be absent should be communicated to the band directors as far in advance as possible. Communication with Mr. Dunn, Mr. Dyke or Ms. Whaley should be via school email. Communicating with student leaders concerning absences is insufficient. ? After rehearsal, brass and percussion pick up on the north side, by the bulldog. Woodwinds and color guard pick up on the south side, by the chorus room.

If your parents / guardians are not in attendance, they can listen to the game on WAAZ-FM, 104.7, online at or on WAAZ's Facebook page to determine the end of the game. Your ride should be here no later than 30 minutes after the game is over.

BRM Water Bottle Information:

? Every member of the BRM will be issued a personalized water jug at band camp! It'll have your name and section color sticker on the jug.

? You'll be responsible for bringing your water to all games and taking it home after. ? At home games, you'll bring your jug to the flatbed trailer parked in front of the band room, so they can

be taken to the stands. ? At away games, you'll carry your own jug with you from the bus, into the stadium/stands. (Pit will

carry battery jugs). ? Please fill with only water and ice. Any carbonation can explode due to shaking while transporting

the bottles & make them harder to clean. ? The jugs/stickers aren't dishwasher safe. To clean, put a couple drops of dish soap, some hot water,

shake, shake, shake, rinse, all done. ? If you lose or destroy your water bottle, you will need to purchase a new one from us for $15. Contact
